Celebrity Big Brother is a British reality television game show in which a number of celebrity contestants live in an isolated house trying to avoid being evicted by the public with the aim of winning a large cash prize being donated to the winner’s nominated charity at the end of the run. The programme aired annually between 2001 and 2011, until 2012 when, for the first time, two series aired in the same year. This process has since continued.

The show is a spin-off of the original series Big Brother. There are a number of differences between Big Brother and Celebrity Big Brother. For example, Celebrity Big Brother lasts for a much shorter time than Big Brother and the celebrities – so long as they are not ejected or quit the programme – are paid for their participation.

From its inception in 2001, Celebrity Big Brother was broadcast on Channel 4 and its sister channel E4, until Big Brother was cancelled by Channel 4 in 2010 due to falling ratings. Celebrity Big Brother has been broadcast on Channel 5 and its sister channel 5* since Channel 5 acquired the rights in 2011. During its run on Channel 4, Celebrity Big Brother was presented by Davina McCall, who also presented the original show.

The Muppet Show is a comedy-variety television series produced by puppeteer Jim Henson and featuring The Muppets. After two pilot episodes produced in 1974 and 1975 failed to get the attention of America’s network heads, Lew Grade approached Henson to produce the programme for his ATV Associated Television franchise in the UK. The show premiered on 5 September 1976, and five series were produced until 15 March 1981 at ATV’s Elstree Studio just north of London, lasting 120 episodes. The series shows a vaudeville or music hall-style song-and-dance variety show, as well as glimpses behind the scenes of such a show. Kermit the Frog stars as a showrunner who tries to keep control of the antics of the other Muppet characters, as well as keep the guest stars happy. The show was known for outrageous physical slapstick, sometimes absurdist comedy, and humorous parodies. Each episode also featured a human guest star. As the show’s popularity rose, many celebrities were eager to perform with the Muppets on television and in film.

Many of the puppeteers also worked on Sesame Street. Muppet performers over the course of the show include Jim Henson, Frank Oz, Jerry Nelson, Richard Hunt, Dave Goelz, Fran Brill, Eren Ozker, Steve Whitmire, Louise Gold, Kathryn Mullen, Karen Prell, Brian Muehl, Bob Payne, and John Lovelady. Graveyard Carz is a reality television series that currently airs on Velocity. The show documents the select crew at Mark Worman’s collision shop Welby’s Car Care and their restoration, research and documentation of Chrysler vehicles. The restoration footage is bookended by Worman’s musings and commentary, usually at his workers’ expense. The crew also provides commentary on the projects, as well as about working with each other. Occasionally the owners of cars being restored visit the shop and tell their story. It is made on location at Worman’s collision shop in Springfield, Oregon.
