Mama June from Not to Hot is all about Mama June’s dramatic transformation. “I’m a mama, a grandmama, and a BIG reality star — and now I’m ready for a BIG change,” Mama June narrates as we see her strike various poses. But she’s not just talking about physical changes, she’s revamping her entire life! “It’s time to say goodbye to bad men and junk food,” Mama June says before adding that fans (and haters) can all “[say] hello to a whole new me, because when they see what I look like now, they’re not going to believe their eyes!” At this point we see a string of text that I assume are all things that went into Mama June’s dramatic makeover. Included in the list are weight loss surgery, physical therapy, liquid diet, tummy tuck, gastric sleeve, strength training, breast implants, high intensity training, and laser teeth whitening.

Family By The Ton will follow the weight loss journeys of three cousins, Naomi, Drew, and Chitoka, who weigh a combined amount of almost 2,000-lbs! Along with the guidance of Dr. Charles Procter Jr., these cousins lean on one another to overcome lifelong anxieties and inspire a true lifestyle change.

The six one-hour episodes begin with Beverly, Naomi’s mother, who undergoes weight loss surgery in a last attempt to turn things around and hopefully inspire her daughter, niece and nephew to follow in her footsteps. In helping her mother recover from her weight loss surgery, Naomi sees firsthand the frightening complications involved in recovery, but is motivated by her dream to start a family. Meanwhile, cousin Drew must overcome his denial of how addictive his eating habits have become before he even begins to consider moving forward with surgery. Finally, cousin Chitoka as been bed-bound for over three years due to her morbid obesity and must literally take her first steps in the right direction in order to qualify for surgery.

While these cousins can rely on the support of family, it is up to each of them to take control of their own lives to change their deadly habits once and for all.

Cupcake Wars is a Food Network reality-based competition show hosted by Justin Willman based on creating unique and professional-style cupcakes that began airing in June 2010. The show is similar to its successful Chopped show in that it starts with 4 contestants who are eliminated one by one in 3 rounds. During seasons 1-3, the show’s time-slot was Tuesdays at 8 pm, EST, but at the beginning of the 4th season, the time-slot changed to Sundays at 8PM EST. The show also challenges its contestants to create cupcakes with unusual ingredients with the winning team receiving $10,000. Each team consists of a chef and a sous-chef. Cupcake Wars began airing its 8th season on March 3, 2013.
