Three famous, single women are guided by Hollywood power couple Holly Robinson Peete and Rodney Peete through the ups and downs of dating 21 confident and successful prospective suitors while developing a sisterhood supporting each other on their quests to find a King fit for a Queen.

Basketball Wives is an American reality television series that premiered April 11, 2010 on VH1. It chronicles the lives of a group of women who have all been somehow romantically linked to professional basketball players. Despite “Wives” in the title, some of the women aren’t married. The show is filmed in Miami, Florida, and beginning with season four, partially in New York City.

The show premiered alongside the new series Brandy and Ray J: A Family Business and What Chilli Wants averaging a 1.0 in the 18-49 demo, reaching 1.6 million total viewers. The Season 2 finale bought in 2.28 million viewers, with the third season premiere attracting 1.82 million viewers. The fifth season debut acquired 2.39 million viewers.

Basketball Wives spawned a Los Angeles-based spinoff, Basketball Wives LA, that premiered in 2011, featuring former cast member Gloria Govan. Ev and Ocho was to be the second spinoff to Basketball Wives but never aired due to Chad Johnson being arrested in August 2012 on a domestic violence charge for assaulting Evelyn Lozada.

Livin’ Lozada follows the lives of Evelyn Lozada, of “Basketball Wives” fame, and her 21-year-old daughter Shaniece. Evelyn has moved on from the heartache of her highly publicized divorce in a big way. She is engaged to big league baseball player Carl Crawford and the happy couple have a one-year-old son, Leo. Between learning to be a mom all over again, setting up a new home in Los Angeles for her and her family, working on getting the sequel to her first book published, as well as dealing with issues surrounding her family back East… Evelyn has a lot going on!
