After completing a mandatory stay at a mental hospital, two best friends decide that the only way they can reintegrate back into society is by finding romantic love.

Set at the Tierra Chula Resident Hotel, Tarantula centers on Echo Johnson, a respected but uncertified tattoo artist. Echo’s poetic ramblings tell tales of misadventures with the other residents as they partake in party crashing, dumpster diving and other socially dubious acts of mischief.

Minnie Goetze is a 15-year-old aspiring comic-book artist, coming of age in the haze of the 1970s in San Francisco. Insatiably curious about the world around her, Minnie is a pretty typical teenage girl. Oh, except that she’s sleeping with her mother’s boyfriend.
